Head gasget or cooling problem

I am having problems with my 1987 16td T25. The van keeps blowing hoses. the hoses go rock hard and the heater does not work. Does anybody know if this is a coolant circulation problem or possibly the head gasget. I have just aquired the diesel engine book from just campers incase it is the head gasket. Any information on this subject would be apreciated

Is it spweing water out the system via the pressure cap and top up tank?? it ought to be...

Is the rad also getting hot?

Hi

Yes originaly after a long run it was spewing water out of the places that you have mentioned. But now all it is doing is blowing hoses the last hose to blow was the long one that runs from back to front. I replaced this one let it tick over in the drive for an hour and it blew the other hose that runs from back to front.
