12v Fridge/coolbox

Hi, i bought a 12volt cool cycle/hotcycle fridge yesterday, an original VW item. my question is how should it be wired correctly to ensure im not draining the battery(s) Im running a twin battery solution.(leisure and main) which should it run off? It stil has the original 2 spade connector so i will also need to replace this but ith waht, is a cigarrette lighter plug ok? Thanks

off the leisure of course... your (main) starter battery is just for that... starting

you can wire it direct to the Aux batt with a suitable fuse and on/off switch when stationary
