removal of actuating rod

Post by ericos_bob »

Hi,

Just wondering if someone can explain to me how I can remove the bush and actuating rod from the front diff-lock. Does it require opening the diff up or can it be removed from outside. thanks

you need to remove the front cover to access the roll pin in the shaft to remove the shaft and sleeve so you can free them up and reassembly is th ereverse :ok

whilst it's on the bench I'd advise removing the rear cover and VC and checking the pinion shaft for play in the bearing

flange sealant on mating faces, 18ftlb on the bolts
