Euro trip in Betsey

Hi

Just got back from hols in our 84 hi top 1.9 w/c it took a month we done 3000 miles & 6 Countries inc: Belguim, Luxenburg, Germany, Switzerland, Italia & France had an amazing time missus was a camping virgin but she loved it (thank god) we can't wait to go again & now were both back at work life seems really boring what with the winter to look forward as well! I think we chose a good route apart from going from the east coast of Italy to the west coast of France in 3 days that was a bit knackering. We were really lucky that we stayed in some very nice sites most were chosen from the Caravan Europe books and as we were on a budget we were trying to go for the cheaper sites in the right locations saying that in switzerland & italy your looking at least 25 euro or quid a night anyway, but in france we stayed in mainly municipal sites for around 12-15 euro & they were all great. In Italy we only done lake como & venice which were both amazing in thier own ways. Switzerland was probably the highlight for it's awesome scenery & really nice people. Germany was lovely stayed on the mosel, the rhine & also got to see the rhine in flames in koblenz.

We have also leant alot and will do thing's slightly differen't next time probably not do so many miles what with the price of petrol being anything up tp 1.45 ltr !

The point is we had such a great time we thought we would let you know and if anyone is planning the same kind of route then we can recommend some cool places to stay & visit.
