Side panel welding

Post by meggles »

I can weld, enough to get through MOT's. What I really need is a good welder to weld a genuine panel into place , in a proper fashion. The panel in question is the offside panel below the rear window. It will need to be an excellent job at a sensible price. Somewhere near to York. To warn you, some tw@t has bodged like Hell and welded over the seams on the lower half of the panel. There is now no seam!!! This will be a tw@t of a job. Bids welcomed but I want a fixed price for a first class job!!! I have warned you so please don't expect a quick fix/lot's of cash job!!
PM me please for location. You will be supplied with copious amounts of tea and a hook up if it takes you to an overnight stop! I will require a fixed price, not an estimate. PLEASE!!! only 80-90 members to do the job. Let's keep it in house eh!
Thanks

No, sorry. But thanks for offer.
I got a quote from someone who quoted "Plus bodyfiller" I asked for cost of that and he said "about £25"

Ahh, its probably the self smoothing one with added pixie dust in it that keeps the rust monster away. Its is quite expensive!!

Funny, I thought it was the one with the paint already in it, as long as you wanted "PINK" or grey! Or maybe the one with gold dust!!

Thanks for that, but it's a bit of a way from me. I'm going to try the local place, but they always seem to be so busy (good recommendation I suppose). Might even have a go myself
