electric hookup

I have a 1980 westy with original euro hookup,when i connect to mains the lights on the cooker panel and eber pulse on and off
anybody know whats causing this :?

Sounds like the in built leisure battery charger causing the problem if the equipment you mention is 12V which, from your description are. Under the seat from what I have read, locate it and switch it off and see if the problem disappears.

haven't seen a westy one in the flesh so to speak but the ones I have seen in German vans are fitted under a seat and housed in a steel enclosure, probably have vents and will definitely have wires going to it and a mains connection. Look under the seats, should spot it if fitted. May be a westy owner will tell yuou the exact location.
