electrical problem

Hey,

i have a T25 1.6D from 1985 and last ride i noticed when i put lights on with ignition switch off the instrument panel has light. When i turn ignition switch on, the instrument panel light goes out and the highbeam indicator goes on. Also when i switch of the lights the cooling water indicator lamp starts blinking again. Lights are working...
Anyone has an idea what this could be? Mass problem?

TRY WAGGLING THE MULTI PIN CONNECTOR UNDER THE DASH BINNACLE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MINE AND A COUPLE OF REMOVING AND PUTTING BACKS HAD IT ALL WORKING FINE oops bloody caps lock also there's some real good england typed there

You havn't got main beam lock on have you? Side lights when ignition off and main beam with ignition on? Would give those lights on dash you are getting.
