hi i am going to look at a 88 t25 2.1 camper tomorrow.i have been informed that this would be the best site to ask advise from. the seller has had it sitting for a year or so he says it starts and runs ok but is a bit smokey and that its only because it has been sitting and started occasionally he says it was perfect before he stored it. could any of you good buddys enlighten me please.thanks jim

Are you shure its not just steam+dirtywater? had alot after my 2CV was stored for over year (water in the crossbox) took a good run to burn it all off

Take it for a half hour run with a mate following he/she can tell you how much it smokes.
blue smoke when the engine is warmed up would indicate worn bores,or broken rings,or worn valve stem seals...
black smoke is a mixture issue

thanks kevtherev and monkeynut saw the vehicle yesterday and it needs a bit of cleaning but body is solid and never heard engine run as battery was flat but because of condition and price have purchased so will take engine out and see if it can be fixed if not will get recon and look after it better
