Now leaking clear strawcoloured fluid, what is it?

First of all thanks for all the previous advice
My 1.6 td has just started leaking a straw coloured fluid from the engine bay, its leaking through some holes in the engine cover at the back. My first though was oil but its the wrong colour my oil is rather black, then hydraulic fluid but the reservoir under the instrument panel was is full, what could it be, transmission oil? Please help, should I drive it, I've lost a fair bit of the stuff, 30cm by 60cm patch on ground. Its coming down with a very steady drip
