3 way fridge

hello folks just a quicky off hand how long would a 3 way electrolux fridge rm212 on 12volt take to get cold? and what would i have to do to find out if the element was u/s any help much obliged steve.

can't help with most of your question but ours works really well on 12V and cools quickly. Don't know exactly how long it takes but at Easter we drove from Cheltenham to Guildford and the beer was nice and cold when we arrived in Guildford about 2 1/2 hours later.

First, check that the fuse(s) is/are OK, you may have one or possibly two. The element can be checked from the 12V relay that feeds the fridge when the engine is running. How hard or simple depends largely on how much info you have for your vehicle and your knowledge of electrical circuits. You need to find the relay, identify and remove the wire that feeds the 12V element , select the 12V fridge option at the fridge then measure the resistance of that wire to earth (should be around 1.5ohms). Other than that, if you suspect the element has gone its 'fridge out' to replace.
