Cool runnings

Post by kevtherev »

Just a heads up really
I fitted a thermostat that opens at 83 deg C instead of 89 deg C
and a thermo fan swtch (two speed) that turns on the fan at 83 deg C (low speed) & 89deg C (high speed) [/b] to replace the VW one that turns on at 91 deg C & 101 deg C

All available from GSF.
Theory is to keep the oil a little cooler to aid the oil pressure at low engine speeds.

83 deg Coolant Thermostat Kev? I fitted an 82 about 18 months ago and the best simple mod I ever did, never seen the temp gauge shift from left of the LED even when I'm stuck in traffic!............ :D
