Have you joined the club or just registered to post on the forum? If you join the actual club you will be able to access the member's only area which has details of any up and coming club meets. There's ones in Wales now and then.

Hi and welcome. recently stayed at Bracelands in the Forest of dean. There where a couple of disabled people on the site, in wheelchairs, and one lad who had a wicked sense of humour. The facilities are designed with wheelchairs in mind. the best place on that site is the area with mains hookup, as it is by the road through the site. All the best to you.

Yup I'll go along with Bracelands, Also Christchurh or White mead down the road. All three sites in forest of Dean have facilities for your needs. Very quiet & peacfull.

The Whitemead site has an indoor swimming pool & resturant & bar..and things going on for kids early evening...just browse Whitemead campsite..they even have a book library & DVD rental. But dont park close to the rec centre..bit noisy. Nice shop & sells gas. Lovely walks & ponds, so wheelchairs no probs. Short Drive down road to lovely train ride & musem & train goes down to Lydney. Nice walk down to locks with opens out into the river Severn. There is a pub about 5 hundred yards down road from site..But they do have a license in the camp shop..

Kev..

Ooops the forgot, the train ride is not quite wheelchair, but they have loads of guys there working on restoring trains etc & they are lovely people & will lift the chair on for you & the Lydney end they are just as lovely.. The forest of Dean area has some of the most dear & lovely people you could possible want to meet..

If you joined the Caravan Club, they send you a directory of their sites around the country and will list the ones that have accessible facilities.

I've stayed at this one which had excellent access.

Its council owned, next to a lake and the pitches are hardstanding, so even with all this rain wheelchair wheels won't get bogged down. The staff were very helpfull too.
