fuel pump links

Post by sharpmz »

Hi there,

I've just got a new fuel pump for my '85 1.9 petrol watercooled, but at the time of buying no-one mentioned that it would not fit!!
I have been told that you can bend the pipe to the right angle but worried as it doesn't look up to it!!

So.......I'm trying to search (as i'm sure this has been covered before) for info on; can i bend the inlet pipe to the right angle and how best to do this........ or am i better off changing for a electric pump. Trouble is each time i click a link like the ones below it throws up an error message

Could anyone help me access these links please or help me find the right ones to answer the above questions???

Thanks for any help, thanks to everyone who's helped me out with other problems too.... this site is amazing!!!

Matt. :ok

to

In other words anywhere it says '80-90' replace with 'club8090'

Seconded.....

Thanks loads for that.

Had a quick read and the replacement in the topic post talks about the replacement pump being for a 2l or a 2.1, any ideas if the way they have fitted it will be ok for a 1.9 watercooled?? Sorry if this is a dumb question still a bit green to all this.

Thanks for help so far!! :P
