Muti-directional fixed roof TV aerial

We are aabout to splash out on a "decent" aerial for our smart little flat screen TV in our camper. Outside our terraced house we get a perfect reception but almost anywhere else we get a very poor to no signal at all on our little boosted dipole gismo. Any recomendations?

Im looking for a digital aerial too. Looking for something I can clamp on to the roof rack rail. Any ideas??

Yes I do know you have to re-tune when you are in a different area. And to be honest I was looking at something that looks a bit like a flying saucer, doesn't need positioning and lives on the roof permanently. I am asking as I have seen bad reports on some makes in the past and understand they cost a few bob to boot!

I'm in the same boat....my brother gave me one of those caravan (starship Enterprise) type ones but I refuse to drill a hole in my roof.
Digital caravan type...what about these? obviously you will need to mount on a pole etc but looks to be the best thing short of a domestic (house type)

Sorry but I think the only way to go is a small satellite set up.

It ill work, with a bit of tweaking, pretty much wherever you are; I can't see a fixed aerial doing the job anymore- they were fine when we all watched carp tv's and thought we were lucky to get a picture, but we have become spoiled these days

Once you have got the hang of aligning a dish it's an easy job and you have a far better chance of getting a decent signal - most "nice places" to camp do not have god coverage on a terestrial level - I lived in the North Yorks Moors National Park and the only way I could get decent radio was via a dish, let alone tv - luckily my property formed the boundary of the "park" so I could mount a couple of sat dishes that were "technically not in the National Park"

If it's a Status one, they do a suction type fitting.

I occaisionally use Digital freeview and the only aerial I found that gave very good performance was the Maxview sold in Caravan and motorhome accessory shops. It has to mount on a pole though but, if you have a luggage area on the roof, there are ways to make a simple stand for them. My van had the starship enterprise looking multidirectional all singing with signal booster, .went in the bin, it was useless!

See now youv'e confused me even more! I can't find the numbering system on that link and anyway you don't say if it is any good. Bugger! SWMBO has her heart set on an expensive jobbie up near the ton bracket but I need some personal recomentdation from someone who has got one to work before I lash out on one. I have a satelite system but last year spent hours trying to find a satelite along with several others on the site and gave up in disgust in the end. Works on my redundant Sky dish though! Bugger Bugger!!

If you scroll down the page using the link you will see a white ariel with fins sticking out either side , Image 530/82 and is identical to the one I use except it has a small rod at the rear (for radio reception too I think). I can say that this the best I have used for digital freeview.
