might be me being thick but i'll ask anyway.
Just had my first decent holiday in my van down in Devon and had a problem with the battery. Had a Mains hook up but ran a coolbox of the 12v for a day until it stopped. The interior lights packed in as well. Coolbox worked off mains, but lights never came back on. I presumed the hook up would charge or take over from the battery. have I missed something or is my battery duff ??
A cool box will drain quite a bit from the battery and so flattened it throughout the day, hence your lights going out as well.
I presume your cool box has a 240v setting and that your mains hook up ran that ok.
Not all systems with mains hook up have a charging option for the leisure battery. You need a 240v to 12v transformer, similar to a battery charger, to allow charging and powering of 12v systems.
Mark.

Van conversion?
er.. your coolbox works on mains but you had it on battery??
Any battery charger is a trickle charge ..it's not a 12V transformer to power your toys
Was the Aux battery fully charged when you set off?
