I had this happen to my 1981 devon. The big pop rivets pull out because of rust. I couldn't find anyone to do mine it is such a big job. I undid the inner covering on roof hinge side that hides hinges so you can get to see them. Then had to cut a hole in the metal above the window after removing the trim and managed to get some bolts with washers on as the holes were bigger with the rust etc. This worked for me as i had to do all hinges eventually. I think the only other way is to remove the roof completely - not a job taken lightly!

I had same on my 1980 Deveon but a very kind man called "bomber" on here repaired mine using parts from jet engines I believe :D

Doing mine at the weekend diff top so I can get at the back of the hinges gonna use bolts with slot in head m6 I think looks about the size to me.Putting bolts ina s I want to replace some of the roten gutter at some point so will be easier to take out the hinges at a later date. Good luck dave
