Fuel Starvation

Post by Tug »

Hi All,

A gremlin has re appeared in my Bus. It seems to be suffering from fuel starvation..
Runs fine when the auto chokes are on but when they go off it struggles to get above 50 and hills....well we wont go their. It is holding back and smells hot after a long journey.....I have purchased a carb rebuild kit....
Any other ideas...

Have stopped using the bus after yesterday

Hi Jason,

Thanks for the reply. I have replaced the fuel lines and the `T` piece in the engine bay. All seem fine. The air leaks could be possible ..hence a full carb rebuild with manifold gaskets. I do have one idea though...it has become more of a problem since it has been for MOT. The mixture was adjusted as the CO was too high.....will have to rebuild the carbs and have it tuned....

Glenn.
