Ok, I have just got another Syncro. Someone had buggered about with the printed circuit board on the back of the dash. I did a solder repair & the oil buzzer came on while driving. Someone had fitted an oil warning lamp into the dash & bridged some terminals on the back of the speedo where the plug goes in, so I guess they had this trouble before. I think it had been like that for some time.
I have fitted a new dash, but with the old speedo (& board with the diodes etc) The oil light works now, but over 2500rpm the light flashes & buzzer sounds.
I only have 1 oil pressure switch on my 1900 petrol 1985 van. There is no high pressure switch at the front of the engine, just the low pressure on the left hand side under the push rods. The engine runs fine.
The temp gauge doesn't work either & this is probably the switch. The manual says to check that too. I am not sure if it is related to the buzzer & oil light. I can't see why it would.
I am wondering if it has had the wrong dash fitted before & I have fitted another the same.
Any thoughts?
Oil buzzer, not again!

Re: Oil buzzer, not again!
as far as i know the temp gauge is not related to the oil preasure buzzer or the light, if the temp gauge is not working go to the thermostat housing and remove the single wire of of the round terminal and earth it, the temp gauge should swing all the way over (as if reading very very hot).
as for the oil preasure you could fit an oil preasure gauge from the low preasure sander how ever you will need a flexable pipe so the sender can be relocated in the engine bay.

Re: Oil buzzer, not again!
Think I have sussed it out. I spoke to spannerboy, he said they all have 2 switches.
After another look. I found it! There was no wire attached to it. Someone had connected the yellow wire (high level switch) to the back of the alternator!
I have connected it back up & razzed it up the road. So far so good.
Now all I have to do is fix the temp gauge.
There are 2 switches in the housing. One has a single spade, the other is a larger one with 2 terminals on. Not sure which it is. time to look at the book again.
Cheers for your super speedy help. I spent ages looking before I posted this thread too! It's amazing how a tiny bit of advice helps.

it is the single spade that relates to the temp gauge.
