Hot tip - tighten your nuts!

Post by Russonly »

Okay,m so I ain't very technical!

The van increased it's leak (oil). I've spent the day degreasing the engiene to see where it is from. Found it to be the sump thingy - oil appeared on the screws underneath I started to apply some tork to the screws and found every one to turn between 1/8 to 1/2 a turn! All the way around! Leak stopped!

Buying a new van OR/AND got an oil leak? Get a set of spanners and allen keys - get under there and give it a twist! You don't have to be clever about it...I'm not!

If I ever buy a new van, the first thing I'll be doing is check as many of the nuts and bolts as I can find! I don't have to know what it does, if it's loose, it needs tightening!

If it's an electrical connection, undo it; shine the surfaces; refit. Soooooooo many problems now resolved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not an expert, but if I was to give any advise to anyone, this is it! :ok

So there! :run
