buzzer of doom and oil temp

Will the action of the auxillary pump affect the buzzer of doom, i.e if the switches are faulty/not giving correct current (as they are dirty) and the oil is too warm will this cause the buzzer to go off

The buzzer sounds when the oil pressure drops below a threshold level and the engine exceeds 2000 RPM. The 'high' oil pressure switch should be closed (connected to chassis) at this RPM figure. If the oil temperature rises significantly then the oil will thin resulting in a lower pressure but it shouldn't be getting that hot anyway. The switch itself is either open (oil pressure too low) or closed (pressure OK).

Yes its possible... if the pump isnt running and circulating the cool water around the oil cooler... worth investigating... I was thinking about this earlier but wasnt near "t'internet".......

But the oil would have to be getting pretty warm I would imagine....
