whistling noise
Am getting a kind of whistleing noise which is due to vibrations from the engine however manly comes on around gear changes but is also there sometimes at idle intially i thought it was the alternator belt set up but have ruled that out also was worried it was the clutch but also not that am now thinking it may be linked to the exhaust but not sure any ideas am running a 1y with jx exhaust with turbo but dont have the turbo pump for the added boost thanks guys

Re: whistling noise
Id say you have an air leak on the pressure side of the turbo pipework... and/or the wastegate is sticking/not opening...

I don't think you're taking this at all seriously

Re: whistling noise
tightened up the exhaust mounts and engine mounts yesterday and seemed to have an effect. Although seems to be thaat the exhaust is tapping of the the crank belt pulley and causing the noise the pulley is a double one as also had power steeeing on the engine so will look to see if i can seperate it or fit a single one as on has about a mm or two between it and the exhaust
