hi there, I had a 1.9 DG in the back of my T25, I bought it with a dead engine that barely ran (although it had only been recently fitted then discovered to be junk). When it did fire up a bit there was a constant clicking from the fuse box that clicked in time to the spark, so when you revved up the engine the clicking revved up too. I put this down to something bad with the engine and it not running very well. However, I have now converted it to 2.1 with all the 1.9 gear and it starts and runs fine, but the clicking relay is still going mad. Any ideas as to what or why it's doing this would be much appreciated.
thanks

Re: clicking relay
Remove the indicator relay and see if it stops, cheap relays can be affected by pulses from the ignition system.

Re: clicking relay
which relay is clicking, you can feel it if you touch the case of each in turn
Re: clicking relay
thank you, I'll work out which one it is then report back with my findings tomorrow.
Re: clicking relay
right, I've had a look today and it seems to be relay 19, I pulled it out and the engine kept running ok. So what is this relay for?
Also is the clock and the stereo on the same fuse? both have stopped working at the same time. Anybody know what fuse number they would be?
thanks
