Fitting 5 piece spoiler

Post by printeral »

Simple job I know.......but the pre drilled holes are much bigger than the fixing bolts supplied.
Should there be an insert as well as bolts or is it just a case of finding bigger bolts?.
The pre drilled holes are approx 9/10mm

You want to fut some rivnut inserts in, but they need to be done with the special tool, try having a word with somebody that specialises in sheet metalwork, or if your near me in S Devon or Simon Baxter in W Yorks.

you can do rivnuts without the special tool, with a bolt, couple of nuts, two spanners and a small plate of scrap metal with a hole drilled to take the bolt. If you want to do this reply and I'll tell thee how its done. Its easy, took me about 1/2 a hour to do all the rivnuts for the spoiler. took me considerably longer to find a local supplier of rivnuts though.... nut and bolt shop, portland road, hove.
