Electric Fuel Pump

Post by west E »

Hi all

My fuel pump on my ac 2.0 lrt has had enough of life. i have fitted an electric fuel pump using the diagram on the wiki, everything fired up ok :D This was a couple of days ago. Now my battery is flat. I think that i have used the wrong wire from the ignition control, i used the red cable going up to the ignition barrel. Checked with my meter and i have 12v across this and the oil pressure switch permenant, if i pull of the oil pressure switch connector off the relay the fuel pump kicks into life. Is this the wrong cable to use for the ignition feed?

cheers in advance

e
if you can't fix it have a drink.

You need a ignition controled feed, (the black wire)
