Just thinking out of the box for awhile - has anybody retro fitted an air bag?
My son' 'P' reg Polo has a single drivers bag so I was thinking that as I have Golf Mk4 wheel (with air bag) could the Polo igniter system be used to fire this?
Grateful for any comments...
Doug

Re: Air Bags
oooooh! think it's a bit more complicated than that. Remember the air bag system is one of many monitored and controlled by the ECU.

Just drive carefully or buy a new T5 if you need airbags! Can't imagine that it is viable to retrofit.Red Westie wrote:oooooh! think it's a bit more complicated than that. Remember the air bag system is one of many monitored and controlled by the ECU.
