paneling

Post by loz »

hi all,
i have a 87 panel van, and looking to convert to a camper/weekend/chill out wondervan! my rnr bed is being delivered, if only i stayed in, would of had it by now, where im i goin? oh right, paneling, insulating.

i have the basic knowledge of insulation, my plan is to use blocks of fiberglass insulation for the walls, and something thin like that foil bubble wrap stuff you can get for the roof. does this seem ok? any suggestions?

its the inside paneling with ply that has got me scared!!! can any other panel converted shed some useful hints and tips for me. the roof is what has got me i have ideas of sticking a wood bar across to give me something to stick me ply to. i have seen one on her that are really neat and would love the knowledge!!!

prob abit of an essay, but its the morning and im feeling good!!

many thanks
lorry

Have a look at the self build motor caravan club http://www.sbmcc.co.uk/ there's alot of useful advice on their forum, especially if you're starting with a blank canvas
Have fun
