Blue Star Blues

Post by rednip120372 »

HELP!!!!!!!!

My blue star has turned on me and refuses to let me in!!! The central locking refuses to work for no reason and i can't open the front doors at all. it wont open with the key,the door knob or the inside handle. The side door will open from inside and the rear will open with the key but thats it. The key goes in the front doors but refuses to turn feels relay stiff and don't want to brake key in lock. Tried WD40 etc no luck. Taken battery off van still no luck it worked fine one minuet then just locked up solid the next. We are due to go on holiday in 2 weeks so a bit disparate!!!!! Any help would be great!!!

Many thanks

one of the front motors is stuck in the close position, you'll have to remove and strip service, they are pretty straightforward things to do with care and patience just some cogs and sliding parts and some electrical contacts, couple of small springs, if water has got inside they can corrode quite badly, bit of clean and vaseline on reassembly.

I've had the motor out of each door & they seems to be fine...the rod's moving up & down. I've re-assembled both doors but I think the rod that connects to the button (open/close knob by the window) was stuck so I freed it up but in doing so I seem to have blown a fuse. All the doors now work manually but I've no central locking anymore...Does anyone know where the fuse is...I know it's 30 amp but it's not in the fuse box (or if it is I can't see it) Any help PLEASE!
