Gas Certificate?

I have been lookingat T25 campers on ebay, and one says it has a gas certificate... ? Should I have one for my T25 camper?

Technically speaking the gas installation should be checked periodically (as should the mains hook-up). I don't think many people bother....... I don't.

Is it because the van runs on LPG ? just a thought

Was it on the German bay or is it a recent import?
Over here it is a requirement for all vehicles with a fixed gas installation.

You need a gas commisioning certificate for insurance purposes (you also need to notify your insurance of the gas modification), no certificate or notification gives the insurance company a 'get out' clause in the case of an accident/incident.

I believe Tex means the installation sustificates given to all properly installed lpg engine conversions. Beware buying one without it.

Leisure gas systems don't need to be certified in the UK, however I prefered to have someone I trusted 100% fit mine instead of me just 'doing my best' :mrgreen:
