Hi,
We have a dilemma our 1990 T25 1.9 engine has died, we have been waiting 6 weeks so far to get a recon engine but can't find one.
It is a panel van, not a conversion but carpeted inside and has recently had bodywork done and a respray. Question is - Is it worth waiting for an engine or should we sell it and cut our losses. Is it worth anything now, or just scrap value?
Any advice much appreciated.

Re: Engine dilemma
It's all down to how much you want to spend and how much your van is worth to you.
Like Mr H says Elite do re-cons and lots of folk seem happy with them,; we opted for a Remtec total bill including fitting about £1600 ish 2 years ago and no complaints, thought long & hard about spending the cash but stuck it on a 0% card and paid it off monthly. We plan on keeping the van for a very long time so thought it was worth the money in the end.
As for cashing it in now - it depends how much you need back for it, if all else is good you might get a decent price, but if you've done lots of work & know it's a sound van, then keep it, stick an engine in and enjoy it.
Good luck whatever
