A lot of us cruising to the Bashtie kip behind the services off the A30 at Okehampton. Scenic it aint but when you're tired :ok Plus use the services/shop and there's a toilet, coffee machine, pie warmer jobby etc etc

It's scenic ! Will if you like abandoned mine sites it is. I do as I am a mining engineer ! Eye of the beholder and all that.

If your sitting at the bottom of the valley looking out to sea. to your left is the Famous Blue hills Section. Which is used in the London to Lands end Trial. Cars do actually drive up there !

Hell yes !

The decent into the valley from the St Agnes side is pretty steep so be aware of that. I'd take my 1.9na diesel down and would be able to get back out. Failing that the exit to the north side opf the valley is much easier to climb out of. But if you only have a 1.6 na diesel you might need to reverse out.

No you cant there is a tree a third of the way up growing over the road. You might do it in a tin top with the air let out of the tyres

I just learned this the hard way this morning - scuffed my pop top in the tree - just made it though though! Ooh, and how tight are the width restrictions?!

Didnt camp there in the end because we needed to be in walking distance to aggie itself. Deffo going to sleep there at some point though, it's a stunning spot
