Leaking driver's window scraper...

Post by Helga »

I bit the bullet and purchased new scrapers as the window was leaking slightly. Anyway, I fitted them easily enough and they seem tight, but no matter what I do, when it rains water gathers on them and literaly pours into the door! I'm at the end of my tether... what am I doing wrong?!!!

Hang on a minute... I was just reading another web page where it said some rain always gets into car / van doors... but then drains out of the bottom - is this the case? Are there drain holes in the bottom of the van doors? I can't see any.....?

Your right the scrapers are not seals the water can run down the window then out of the bottom of the door.

They don't really look like "holes".
At the very bottom of your door, front and back, you will find some bits of metal at a 45 degree angle ...that's the bits that channel the water out.
