autosleepers high top window lock replacement

Post by greenland40 »

Hi, I have a 1990 autosleepers high top and have broken the L-shaped lock on one of the long narrow side windows. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement from please, I've tried autosleepers and VW already.

Thanks

If Auto-Sleepers don't have one then you will have to look at improvising by using a different design of lock. You could advertise for one in 'Classifieds - Wanted' but I can't see many late model A/S high-tops be broken up for spares. VW only carry (some) spares for the base vehicle. The camper conversion is nothing to do with them. :)

Thanks I'll try the "wanted" section.

If anyone has got any advice on a suitable alternative that would be fab. 8)

greenland40, I directed my question to the Revster because I thought that he didn't have opening windows in the high top of his A/S VHT (early version of the Trident). I looked at his van at Bus Types & it does in fact have sliding windows. :)

Charles & Son in Poole, Dorset inherited tons of Holdsworth stuff when they went out of business. I wondered if any Holdsworth sliding window locks could be adapted to fit an Auto-Sleeper. Not ideal but a possibility. :)
