Electrical Probs

Post by Poddington »

Hi,
I've just wired a radio into the van using a live from the leisure battery but now, when I put the radio on, there is a buzz from the water pump and the radio says failure - the radio then goes on to function fine, as does the water pump. The radio worked fine with no failure notice prior to putting in the van.

Any ideas what the prob may be?!

Cheers

how have you wired it? have you taken a +ve and -ve directly from the battery? or have you picked the feed up from the water pump??

Ive tried the existing live from the leisure battery and then a seperate feed direct from the battery but I've used the existing earth, reckon that must be where the prob lies then.

Is the best way to set up an earth just to drill into the body and screw in?
