Morning,
I have coolant leaking from my header tank (1.6D) from around the level sensor. Its a new one that went in yesterday. The old sensor was cracked as i had overtightened it (this is what i assumed was causing the leak previously) and dont want to do the same again. Anyone else got or had similar?
Losing coolant

Re: Losing coolant
i had the same problem, although it cleared up when i put a new sensor in. i found it needs to be hand tight and then a little bit more. so i got the mole grips on it.
i was told that the tanks can get cracked - have you checked that? could be a small crack...

Yeah, tank was a worry but it seems to be intact...am wary about mole grips as thats what bust the last one. gonna try a little ptfe tape before resorting to using tools to tighten
