Belt size

Post by el sketcho »

I've just replaced the alternator on my van and have thought I might as well change the belt while I'm doing it. Does anyone know the number of the belt I need for a 1.7d? I haven't got aircon or powersteering.

Is it a single V belt that goes round the bottom pulley then the alternater and engages one side of the water pump pully under tension.?If so Halfords do a toothed V drive belt HB850a as fitted as discribed to my diesel engine which i replaced recently..

Buy two while you are at it. One of the long list of essential spares EVERY T25 owner weighs his van down with.
