Rocker gear sprung wire

Post by saabdub »

I have re-built a 2 litre CU coded air cooled engine..got everything back together but i'm lost as to the correct position of the sprung wire that sits along the length of the rocker gear..no matter how i try it doesn't look correct.
I have an Autodata manual but the picture isn't much help as it doesnt show the whole thing..in fact it's no use at all.
Any pics or links to the correct position would be much appreciated.

Usually rolls in the opposite direction to the way you thought it might have.
