Wiring a JK fuest box and lights

Post by albertramsbottom »

Hi

Can anyone tell me if there are any wiring diagrams on the web on how to wire up a JK fuse box (or any fuse box), to a leisure battery and then on to some 12 volt lights.

The only thing I need to know really is Do I need to run both neg and pos to the fuse box or does just the positive go to it and the neg to the body of the bus. I would imagine that this would be the case but then where would i run the negs from the lights?. Would they also go to where I have attached the Battery negitive on the body?

Thanks

Normally the fuses are wired to the positive side of the battery..... and the earth return from the lights will be made to the metal of the body shell, at a convenient point near the lights.
Clean metal where you make the connection from the lights to the body/chassis.
Negative of the leisure battery also to clean metal of bodyshell (In battery bay).
