Rather depressing figures...
Just worked out my last 3 months motoring for MPG. I have been writting down all spent on fuel and I have calculated that my 2ltr Aircooled gets 15.80 miles per gallon.
It currently idles way to fast which will not help. I have booked in for a Gasure carb refrub so hopfully that will make a little difference

I'm currently getting 30+ mpg with the subaru so it should have paid for itself by mmmmmmmmmm 2020ish.

had mine rebuilt by Steve at Gasure - too early for MPG figures but definitely accelerates smoother and as more oomph!
83 2ltr Air-Cooled Autohomes Kamper. Kamper roof died. Fitted an original Westy Pop-top.

12 - 20 is norm I,m afraid You will have to buy yourself a apair of slippers or hush puppies and learn to be a little bit more lightfooted---
