Insect Killer

Post by gsmoke »

I'm always slightly irritated when I go to bed while camping to see loads of mosquitos etc. flying about, even with the doors shut of the awning they always seem to get in.
The best I've ever used is mosquito coils which I always use when traveling across India (er.. not in the van). They tend to be a tad overpowering in the van. I don't really fancy those 12v blue light things that Towsure etc. sell so while trawling the net I found this on a truckers site.

http://www.lorrybits.com/product_info.p ... -cab-stuff" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The plan is to put it on before dusk and then turn it off just before hitting the sack.
All ordered, I'll report back when its been used in anger.
Thought it might be of interest.

We use a similar system out in Cyprus, it's a device that you plug-in to the mains and stick a tablet.
Switch it on about 2 hours bed you pass out and leave it on all night.
There is very little smell and you don't get bitten (as much).
