Automatic Transmission Repairs

Post by Aidan »

I don't do auto boxes as they are too specialist and I don't have the necessary tools and equipment, but it turns out the person who's name I've been giving out doesn't do them either even though his card which I have in front of me clearly states autos and I know he does T3/T25 boxes so I assumed he'd do our autos.

So I've done some googling and come up with Beds Automatic Transmissions in Luton and I've just spoken with them and yes they have the factory tools etc.. and would be able to work on the 090 transmissions, the guy I spoke to is familiar with them as used in the Porsche944 and audis of that era (Audi 010 transmission which ours is based on), though they haven't done any of ours recently he reckons they would be able to do, though he wasn't certain of parts availabilty, but checking ETOS quite a bit is still showing, but until it's ordered you never know.

So my current recommendation is http://www.automaticgearbox.biz/

Please let them know that you came across them via this forum as I said I'd be putting up a post or two in suitable locations.

If anyone does go with them could they also let me know how they get on, if peeps are happy then we can recommend with more confidence.

And if anyone comes up with anyone else that's good then let me /us all know eh.
