Can't help with the wire as I've only seen petrol engines. But, yes, that expansion bottle should have a connection for the sensor. If anyone can confirm that it's the same as a 1.9DG expansion bottle I have one I can sell you, complete with proper functioning "dalek" cap.

As regards the pipe, again I'm not familiar with the diesel, but most engine hoses are NLA and some ingenuity may be required. If it's anything like as long as those on a wasserboxer you'll be struggling to get hold of one. Most motor factors stock "universal" hoses, and it shouldn't be too difficult to join to the good bit of the remaining hose with a bit of 35-38mm tube (ask a friendly plumber - I have some 38mm steel tube I cut from a bunk bed!) and some jubilee clips. That's my way of going about these things anyway!

TA for that. I have bought a bottle before ( from here) and was the wrong one. Mine has like a v fitting which slides on to the batt box.
Dont know if you can tell from this?

Would be interested in the bottle but would like not to have another on the shelf if anyone can confirm the fit!

just doing this from memory but i cant remember what colour the wires are...but...on my old 1.6 there was only 2 wires with that connector on...one sensor was at the back of the engine on the head which went into a casing with a hose and the other sensor was under number 3 glow plug in a case with another water hose..just from memory tho
and my expansion tank didnt have a level sensor either :ok
the word 'pissing' is safe
