headlamps

just fitted some h4 lights, old ones rusty, o/s light is very dim, cant see anything on wiki to cover this, just an earth problem? any ideas greatfully recieved

Could be an earth or a poor contact.
Try running a lead from the battery +ve to the lamp. If its still dim look to earths.
