Diesel 1700 heater motor

Post by rubarb »

Help, i, trying to replace the heater motor. So far I have removed the dash and now trying to take the housing surrounding the heater motor. I have release all the clips except the one at the rear above the heater motor itself. I have tried to lever the housing so the clip will break however no joy (surprised the housing hasn't broken due to the force I have used). As it is a diesel it is slightly different to petrol models as it is in one piece. Please HELP with any hints as Iam missing driving the old dear.
Cheers Rubarb

I don't generally reply to any questions on subjects I know Sweet FA about. But have you tried removing the whole unit from the vehicle ?
Only for the simple reason that if you bugger it in situ, you will be taking it out anyway to sort it out.

They are sometimes heat welded at the same point. Run a stanley knife around the joint.
