cab storage

Post by el sketcho »

I was looking in the new copy of camper & bus mag at the trick brick. In the cab there is a storage bin on the centre heater cover, just in front of the gear stick. Is this westfalia part? I was thinking about buying a pair of the JK door pockets, cutting them down the centre, plastic welding them together and fitting it to the same place, thus having a storage unit with a cup holder on either side.
Anyone do this or similar?
Is this a good or bad idea?

Andy

i've been thinkin of using the door pocket from my spare pair of door cards and fixing it where you mention. will two door pockects welded together not look gash?

reckon it must be cheaper to scour the scrappers for some 80's motor door bins?

Yeah it could look like a lash up. I think your idea of getting one from the scrappers is a goodn'.
