A55

Post by callanish »

Hi
what a pain it was getting along the A55 from Llandudno this afternoon, looks like a man with a digger put his bucket through a gas main :result closed road in both directions :miles and miles of tailbacks ,arguments with the sat nav and me pulling over from time to time to let my westy cool down.
home now but what a journey !!

The A55 is a nightmare at the moment, try the coast roads next time, majority of pointless temporary work traffic lights have come down now, well until the next lot of school hols, they'll go back up then - guaranteed
My T25 over heated yesterday spraying water everywhere just going from one part of Rhyl to another - at least you made it home lol

Aircooleds in general very rarely overheat. My mexican beetle has a 1600 fuel injection Aircooled engine, which has done nearly 200,000 miles and has never been taken apart once. However, I will have to order a set of telescopic tubes from VW before long (I already have the genuine seals) before the oil leaks get too bad.

My 2.0 litre Aircooled camper has also had no problems at all. Checking the fan belt deflection frequently is key to prevent Aircooled engines from overheating.
