where to buy new manifold gaskets??

Post by jonnyg »

I am after a set of manifold gaskets for a DG engine. I have looked on JK and Brickwerks but no one seems to do them for the DG.

Anyone know where to get them? Main dealers and euros/gsf no longer do them...

cheers

was thinkin of tryin that for the manifold/head join but the carb/manifold is a plastic riser built into the gasket and you need it for the spindle to clear...

last time i had mine appart, there was no plastic riser
if you have one, clean the gasket paper off of it
and make 2 new gaskets, one for eahch side of the plastic riser
don't forget to grease the gasket, home made or bought

Sorry to hijack the threat but just two quick questions,

With what type of grease? and do this apply to all gaskets even ones on exhaust systems etc?

Thanks

They come in the gasket kits, not usually something available separatley.
I have lft overs from gasket kits I have in a box, which I rape when needed, but not something I would usually sell.
gasket paper!
Or, try VW, you may be surprised.

VW definitely don't have them. I bought the last two in the country according to the guy in the parts department.
