german woman desperate to buy 4x4 vw bus for work use in forests. well battered ok but needs to be good mechanically.

upto €2k.

May be possible, but if french reg and a runner and any life left in it.... cant see it being that cheap!!! as we discussed... :wink:

If she buys that cheap, expect some big expense...

Yep, if she really wants a syncro then she will be in trouble..
I might.. might be able to find a usable one for 4k... but prob needs money spending on it in the near future... :(
better off looking for a lada niva.. they are more popular and found for less money..

I can't afford to buy and maintain a nice syncro, I've tried to figure the numbers and it just doesn't work without a small lottery win at least (highly unlikely as I just don't do lotteries) so I can't really join in with all this off roading and the like.

The cheap off roading options I'm interested in are Old Panda 4x4/Sisley, Halflinger (see other thread) or Lada Niva. The Panda and Niva used to be as common as "pooh" in a field, the Halflinger always seems to have been rare. I doubt very much if I can even afford any of those three considering their scarcity value.

Looks like I'm stuck with my BMX :?
