I think (but could be wrong) that all later rear doors have the holes pre-drilled. take the door card off and look at offering the mechanism up.

my tailgate, doesn't have a washer jet hole, measuring from not having one, might just be a little tricky

no, dink, have a look insidde the rear door, the holes for the bracket will be there , they define the main hole , plot it all out from there .

I've been outside today trying to fit my rear wash wipe, I CANNOT get an accurate enough point to drill the door, the centre strength inside of the door won't let me mark a point to drill, if it did i can only mark the inside
which won't help me drill from the outside

someone, please
can I have a measurement of where to drill from the outside

for anyone else out there who's wanting a rear wash wipe, the 16mm hole, I found was 805mm from the left hand edge of the door
(I stopped and measured a caravelle I saw parked up the other day)
it's in and all the mounting holes line up for the mounting bracket

The hole is inline with the centre of the VW badge, which is your datum.

The washer jet just go somewhere near, it's only a water jet and they are adjustable.

Nope, the measurements for where to drill for the washer jet are in the diagram /\/\
to be 100% sure where to drill the 16mm holes wasn't
although before i drill a hole for that, i'm looking into merc sprinter wipers with the washer jet on the wiper arm
as I'm looking to do the same to the front

merc sprinter wipers with the washer jet on the wiper arm

I tried this with the arm jet from a Smart, the spray pattern was pants.
Hopefully the Sprinter ones will be better.

Puegot 405s had a similar system with four (iirc) jets along the lenght of the wiper blade, they may be worth considering.

I have easy'ish access to a sprinter for a look at
so that was going to be be my starting point
