why?,.

because as a camper it's far more practical,. fully kitted out,. ready to go,.

because we went to look at a 1.6 diesel tintop t25 that had gapping holes
in footwell/wheelarch/doorstep,. & the lovely lady wasn't going to budge on
her £670 asking price,.
looked at a 2litre Aircooled panel that had a spare engine but has been off road 7 years,
gapping holes all down one side & all jacking points & the whole front panel was shot,.

he wanted more for that than we paid for our Sherpa,

because i was curious to see what you could get for your money if you left the vw world ( & haven't left completely)
& it turns out you get a lot more for your money,.

i think i'd easily get back what i paid for it,. but i might not sell it,.

i'm embarassed to be a part of the vw world at times,. the snobbery of it all,
i'd hate for people to think i was being snobby about their camper,.

you're not allowed to come see it until you come round to show off your lovely new van! :D

it's pretty ugly really but i don't care about looks, it's just way more practical & nice to have
rear doors! :D

It can't be that bad, you parted with your hard earned for it, and it is still going, It may not be a VW but it certainly will be rarer!! (what with it being built here!!)

Lets have a look then. :ok

Good on yer. If no one saves these unloved "wrecks" then the classic camper scene would be a very boring place. I had a sherpa camper years ago and while it wasnt the best built vehicle, the camper part was 1st class. I fitted an 1800 engine from a Morris Marina 1800 TC. The performance was, well stunning really. I even overtook a milk float!! Royal Mail used the sherpa for years.
Get some foties done and bring it to a meet, I'm sure that it would be the centre of attention. :ok
If you can't weld it try bostic!!
