buying a t25

Post by ojsmith »

Hi
Im looking to buy a t25 - finding tons of useful (and entertaining) info on here by the way - and was wondering where the best place to buy one would be... ebay, a garage etc right vehicles or eastfalia, private sale and so on. there is probably no one best option as it depends on a ton of variables, but your opinions and suggestions will no doubt be a good place to start!

cheers

Oliver

First I would be deciding what conversion camper I want.
To do that , get yourself to a club meet or get to a VW show were 80-90 are camping and I'll take you on a tour

shucks  thanks

Quality of the furniture is the key to a camper "scrubbing up" and lasting the years
mine has no rattles, creaks or issues with equipment

and villas, sleepers, autohomes, westies have quality

Hi,

We got our Autohomes Karisma though a website called dubs4sale. Just type that into Google and you should find quite a few in there.

Read all of the buying advice in the wiki and you should be fine.

Good luck. :ok

More seemingly inept VW un/related questions/statements will follow in due course.

Hi

I just bought my first T25 Autohomes from an ad first listed on Volkzone, it's definately worth watching the classifieds boards both there and on this site too.

I watched heaps on ebay for quite a while to get an idea of what conversions go for what price in what condition etc.

I put a wanted ad up on here and Volkszone too actually.

You get some peace of mind if you buy from a dealer such as Eastfalia, Right Vehicles etc, there's also Munich Kampers iirc.

I wanted a Westy poptop but budget just wouldn't stretch to a "buy n go" condition vehicle that was in a close enough area to go and look at. I've bought cars on ebay sight unseen but wasn't confident to do the same with a campervan.

The wiki guide to buying is a great resource too.

Happy shopping!
Sarah
